This is the time that my craft show season starts. My first show was this past weekend at the New London Art Show. It was a wonderful show and it was the second time that I had gone to it.
This was my booth that I set up:
This was my booth that I set up:
The booth space that I had was a 13' x 13' space, which was a pretty big space.
Here are some of the specifications of my booth space:
Three 6' folding tables
1 square card table
Hanging lights
desk lights
dressmakers mannequin
display mannequins from www.dirtcheapfixtures.com
black tablecloths from walmart
yellow table cloth from fabric store
wooden crates turned into a small display table
glass doors made into a tiered shelf
styrofoam heads covered or painted
handmade wooden sign
old wooden shelf made into large towered shelf
branches inside of vase for displays
canopywhat I liked about my booth space:
it was easily seen by the buyers at the show and seemed inviting
I was the only one there with a canopy (hoping it catches on)
there was plenty of space for people with wheel chairs or strollers to get through without hitting anything
I had an attention grabber at the front of my booth (I.e. my mannequin)
I was able to easily change the look of my booth at the drop of a hat
I was able to hang items from the sides of my booth and have them easily taken downsome of the negatives
I TOOK ME FOREVER TO SET IT UP/ TAKE DOWN with help, it was wonderful to have the help and the priviledge to set up the canopy the night before
There was some people that may have been intimidated to come in when there were others in the booth at the same time
I had some of the same types of items in different places and it made people walk all over inside the booth instead of a fluid motion
i needed a bigger mirror because the people were unaware of the access to the mirror
where I sat in my booth blocked people from looking at some of the items next to me
my table cloths were not the same length which bugged me
I had too many things on my tables, i need to have more hanging displaysThanks to all of you that came to my booth.
Hope to see you soon!
